We are Jeffrey and Veronica Rice, a young Catholic couple passionate about our faith, family, and financial stewardship.

How we start..
When we met, we fell in love, but we also realized we had a lot of questions about the future — especially about money and how to manage it in a way that honors God. On top of that, we faced a major language barrier: I (Veronica) am a native Spanish speaker, and Jeffrey speaks English.
Good communication is a vital skill for any relationship, but combining different languages with financial topics is an even bigger challenge! Yet, even though we weren’t professionals in financial topics, as we got to know each other, our dates became all about talking about money and entrepreneurship. Honestly, sometimes our dates even involved watching Shark Tank pitches together!
As we talked with friends, we noticed a common trend: many couples avoid talking about finances before marriage. But for us, bringing money into our dating conversations wasn’t stressful — it became a beautiful part of discerning our marriage vocation. It allowed us to be completely honest about our values and dreams.
After discerning God’s clear will, we got married in December 2025. Guided by a powerful desire in our hearts, and knowing how rarely financial education is discussed among Catholics — and how seldom couples talk about the number one cause of broken marriages — we decided to build Ricefield. This is our dream and project together: to share our daily habits, templates, and the practical lessons we are learning along the way.
